This syrup is made from sorrel pods also known as hibiscus or the Spanish name Jamaica. The sorrel is steeped with aromatic spices and then the juice is boiled with cane sugar. This makes a refreshing drink or cocktail mixer which is enjoyed on those hot Caribbean days.
